About the Opportunity
The Facilities & Maintenance Technician performs a variety range of maintenance and inspection tasks on structures and PCB manufacturing equipment throughout the facility. The work requires skills and familiarity with practices related to maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing equipment.
What You'll Do:
Inspects, tests, repairs and maintains facility structures, machinery and equipment as directed by immediate team leader including performing scheduled preventative maintenance work order
Performs electrical and/or mechanical repairs and maintenance on switches, lighting, outlets, fixtures heating, ventilating, air conditioning and plumbing fixtures
Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts; lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment
Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery
Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jig, fixtures, and tools
Diagnoses and troubleshoots the problems; determines proper work methods and materials required for each project; operates various power tools and equipment in the performance of assigned duties.
Fabricates and repairs counters, shelves, partitions, and other wooden or metal structures
Performs a variety of structures maintenance activities including painting, remodeling and cleaning of buildings and grounds
Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts
Uses all required personal protective equipment and follows safety measures when handling chemical and hazardous waste
Participates in safety training
Assists in training individuals and other team associates as assigned
Performs all other duties as needed
What You'll Bring:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, equipment or tool manual and maintenance instructions
Ability to communicate effectively in English
Knowledge of established routines, practices and the operation of manufacturing equipment related to measuring and testing
Ability to inspect and repair a wide variety of electrical, mechanical and structural equipment to determine defects and perform needed repairs
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers
Excellent attendance and punctuality
Must be able to work overtime as required
Education and Experience:
Minimum of 2-3 years of manufacturing equipment maintenance experience
Experience in PWB/PCB manufacturing environment (Preferred)
High school diploma, or general education (GED) (preferred)
Electrical background with certificate or license (Preferred)
Air conditioning repair experience (preferred)
Please note that in addition to frequent standing and walking, the work environment requires lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50 pounds; as well as, twisting/turning, reaching over shoulder/head, reaching outward.
Schedule:
1st and Swing Shift Opportunity Available
1st Shift (7:30am to 4:00pm)
Swing Shift (10:00am to 7:30pm)
8-hour shift
Monday to Friday
Overtime and Weekends
California Pay Range
$20 - $27 USD
The actual compensation offered is based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and other relevant business considerations.
