About the Opportunity:

The Copper Plating Operator processes PCB panels using the Copper Plating tanks and ensures that all jobs are processed according to the Team leader's direction, Traveler information, process engineering, and Standard Operating Procedures.

Please Note: The available work schedule consists of second-shift hours (4:00pm - 12:30am); however, training will take place during the first shift (7:30am - 4:00pm).

What You'll Do:

  • Review SOPs, work instructions, Team leader direction and the Traveler to ensure compliance with specifications; verify that prior process was properly completed and that quantities match; scan job into PROCIM to ensure compliance with specifications

  • Complete Process Analysis Log prior to start of work each shift

  • Start-up controller and pump; check solution levels for all copper tanks

  • Prep and clean racks for use in process

  • Calculate panel square footage and sets up the appropriate amperage

  • Prepare panels for processing by applying copper or plating tapes and plugging lamination holes as needed

  • Load and unload panels from the appropriate tanks in accordance with traveler instructions

  • Use electric lift hoists for large panels when processing copper

  • Verify hole sizes using pin gauges

  • Monitor solution levels in each chemical tank

  • Use drill press to route out in-process coupons for verification

  • Use grinder to prepare cross section

  • Use a microscope to inspect coupons for defects and to verify plating thickness

  • Sign off on the Traveler, log out in ProCIM and moves finished parts to the next scheduled process

  • Perform all other job tasks as needed

  • Ability to work 2nd shift (4:00 PM - 12:30 AM)

Added Bonus If You Have:

  • 1 year of related experience working in a chemical manufacturing environment

 In addition to frequent standing and walking, the work environment requires lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50 pounds.

Schedule:

  • 8-hour shift

  • Monday to Friday (4:00 PM - 12:30 AM)

  • Overtime

  • Weekends as needed

**Please Note: Successful candidate must be available to train during 1st Shift (7:30am to 4:00PM) 

 

California Pay Range

$17 - $20 USD

The actual compensation offered is based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and other relevant business considerations.
